Trustee John C. Jekot is a lifelong resident of the Village of Niles. He is a 1976 graduate of St. John Brebeuf School, where he volunteered as a coach in the athletic program, and is currently the vice president of the parish’s men’s club. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1981. Trustee Jekot was a board member, commissioner and coach of the Niles Baseball League from 1983-1999. In 1986 he joined the Optimist Club of Niles and has held the Office of President since 1998. Trustee Jekot was a member and past president of the School District Education Foundation Board since 2005, and vice president of the School District 63 Board of Education where he has served since 1999.
Trustee Jekot firmly believes that what builds strong communities are those who volunteer their time to make life better for those who live within a community and keep Niles the best place to live. He feels it is a privilege to serve the Village of Niles as a trustee.
