[ARCHIVED] Neighborhood HEROES Snow Shoveling Program

If you are a senior and/or a disabled Niles resident and in need of assistance with shoveling snow, please contact the Niles Senior Center at (847) 588-8420 to register.

By registering for the program, we will do our best to match you up with an available Volunteer within your neighborhood.

Volunteers will be asked to remove snow from public walkways and front sidewalks. After the conclusion of a 3" or greater snowfall, Volunteers will visit their assigned home within 48 hours to remove snow.

A waiver will need to be signed and submitted before any assistance is given.

To become a HEROES Volunteer, please fill out a Senior Center Volunteer Application, you can then select the Neighborhood HEROES Program.

Once an application is completed, we will contact you to match you up with a resident in need. If you are unavailable or out of town, we ask that you notify us so we can attempt to find a backup Volunteer for that specific clearing.

A waiver will need to be signed and submitted before the ability to give assistance.

Your efforts will help create a safer community for everyone!
