Sec. 82-6. - Disposal of landscape waste.
(a) Requirements. It shall be the duty of the owner or agent of any property to place landscape waste in containers approved in advance by the village and to have such landscape waste collected by the scavenger retained by the village or by a private scavenger. A sticker which is issued by the village must be affixed to the container. Refer to Appendix D for Fee.
(b) Unlawful mixing. It shall be unlawful for any person to mix landscape waste with any other garbage, rubbish or trash. No person shall rake or deposit grass clippings, leaves or rubbish of whatever kind or character into gutters or streets.
(c) Exemption. Leaves raked or deposited by the owner of any property shall be exempt from this requirement during the Public Services posted leaf pickup schedule. Businesses providing landscape maintenance that rake or collect leaves are responsible for providing disposal as outlined in section 82-6(a) or hauling such leaves from the site to an approved landscape waste disposal facility.
For residents living east of Milwaukee Avenue, pickup begins on the following Mondays. Residents should place their leaves in the curb on the appropriate Monday for pickup during the week. Leaf pickup begins on the following dates:

For residents living west of Milwaukee Avenue, pickup begins on the following Mondays. Residents should place their leaves in the curb on the appropriate Monday for pickup during the week. Leaf pickup begins on the following dates:
• October 12
• October 26
• November 9
• November 23
