Please find below information on events and activities taking place at or with the Niles Teen Center in the next couple of weeks.
1) Mark’s new baby should be coming any day now!!
Colleen, his wife, has an expected due date of Friday, May 1st. Please be aware that Mark may unexpectedly be away from the Teen Center. Halley will be in charge except for Wednesdays, when she is out for class. On Wednesdays, Ann and Larry will run the facility together. Mark will make sure to inform all of you when the baby arrives. Thanks for your support.
2) Teens and Parents- I need your help- Please Complete This Survey
As part of the Village of Niles’ performance management reporting, Mark is required to issue and submit results for an annual satisfaction survey. We have created a brief 21 question survey using SurveyMonkey. Also, consider answering the optional open-ended comments questions. This survey will be open for the next 2 weeks (April 21 through May 6).

3) “Girl Talk” Continues on Wednesday, April 29- 4:30-5:30 pm
This will be Natalie’s last day with slices of cheesecake for the group. We will be looking to Nicole to continue this group into the summer.
4) New Furniture Donation- Restaurant Booths & Tables
The Teen Center recently accepted the donation of 6 commercial grade restaurant booths and tables. This will make for a nice upgrade in “sturdy” furniture for teen usage. It may take us a couple of weeks to get these in place and dispose of some of the “worn and damage” furniture. Please be patient as you may not have as much space until all of the old furniture is removed.
5) Top Golf Trip- Deadline Thurs. April 30- $40
Top Golf is the new game in golf that everyone can play! Revolutionary technology allows players to hit balls at targets in the playing field and receive instant feedback about distance and point value. Play against your friends or shoot for a high score! It might be chilly, but Top Golf has heated bays to keep us warm! No experience necessary and clubs are available for free rental. Fee includes a short lesson from an instructor, 3 games of Top Golf, a dinner of a hot dog, chips and unlimited soft drinks.
Date: Friday, May 8 Time: 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Cost: $40 (games, lunch, transportation, supervision)
6) National Day Calendar.
As a Christmas Gift, Mark received a National Day Calendar from his brother-in-law who is a rather unconventional thinker. This calendar does not list the any national, local or state holidays. But instead it is a calendar of fun and random holidays like “Hug a Plumber Day” and “Ice Cream Day”. In the spirit of fun, Mark will be providing these “holidays” each week as random and fun facts for teens and parents to enjoy and potentially use in their social media posts.
