Please find below information on events and activities taking place at or with the Niles Teen Center in the next couple of weeks.
1) Spring Break Teen Center Schedule
Tues, March 31- OPEN- 2:45 pm to 7:00 pm
Wed. April 1- OPEN- 2:45 to 7:00 pm
Thurs. April 2- OPEN- 2:45 pm to 7:00 pm
Friday, April 3- CLOSED- due to Good Friday and Village of Niles Spring Holiday
2) REMINDER- The Teen Center will be CLOSED on Friday, April 3
3) New Teen Center Supervisor- Antonette Puleo
Last week, Ann began working at the Niles Teen Center. The teens have already taken a liking to her. Ann is a junior at Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in Social Work and eventually wants to get a Master’s degree in Counseling. She is a long-time Niles resident and graduate of Gemini Jr. High and Maine East HS. She has spent the last 8 years working for the Niles Park District running summer camps, basketball leagues and gymnastics programs. In her spare time, Ann enjoys taking pictures outdoors, art projects, listening to music, watching sports and movies, hiking and fishing and hanging out with her friends.
4) Nate Celinski’s Leaving Teen Center- Thurs. April 2
Nate will be leaving the Teen Center on Thurs. April 2. He is going to work full-time for his father’s tuck-pointing business. Nate will remain on the teen center payroll through mid-June. He will continue to come by to help out when the weather is bad or when Mark needs an extra hand, especially when Mark’s new baby arrives in early May.

Ann and Halley will be working on snaps throughout our regular teen center programming.
6) Teen Movie at the Theater- Friday, April 10- 7:00- 9:30 pm- $8 each
Are you looking for something fun to do on Friday nights? Would you like to meet other teens from around the area? Please join us for a movie at AMC Theaters. Bring extra money for snacks during the movie.
Due to the closing of Golf Mill Café, we will be postponing any dinner arrangements for the near future. Mark will be looking for a new business at Golf Mill to be a partner for this event.
Movie choice will be announced by Wed. April 8
7) National Day Calendar.
As a Christmas Gift, Mark received a National Day Calendar from his brother-in-law who is a rather unconventional thinker. This calendar does not list the any national, local or state holidays. But instead it is a calendar of fun and random holidays like “Hug a Plumber Day” and “Ice Cream Day”. In the spirit of fun, Mark will be providing these “holidays” each week as random and fun facts for teens and parents to enjoy and potentially use in their social media posts.
