The Niles Fire Department needs your help clearing snow from fire hydrants. These fire hydrants must be uncovered in case of a fire emergency. Firefighters are working hard to clear the snow from the hydrants, but to accelerate the process, they are asking if you are medically able, to clear the snow from a hydrant on your property or street. If you aren't able and you know of a hydrant that is covered, please call the Fire Department at 847-588-6800. Also, remember to please be a good neighbor and check on those that may need assistance.
