[ARCHIVED] Weekend Weather Update 1/2- 1/4

Precipitation will start off as snow around 1:00 a.m. tonight. Snow will mix with sleet and freezing rain after 6:00 a.m. and will go to all freezing rain by 9:00 a.m.. Freezing rain will continue through 11:00 a.m. or so and then all rain is expected. A quick burst of ¼-1/2” of snow is possible with up to 0.10” of ice on top of that. Pavement temperatures are expected to quickly rise into the upper 30s/near 40 by 12:00 p.m.. Rain will continue through the afternoon and evening, transitioning back to snow around 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Snow will linger over the area through 1:00 p.m. Sunday with 1-2” of accumulation likely.
