Reminders:
Only residents 62 and older can order the smaller refuse and recycling carts.
For those who called in early August, be patient, you’re on the list and you will get your carts in 2-3 weeks. The list is long and carts are currently on backorder. If you are waiting for a smaller cart, please use your current carts and keep them within site of the street so Groot can exchange the bigger carts with smaller ones. The carts do not have to be on the curb, just visible from the street for Groot to exchange.
For those who are requesting carts now, you can get on the list by calling Groot or Village Hall and giving them your name and address. Residents who have recently been requesting to be added to the list will get their smaller carts in 4-8 weeks. Please be patient. Again, use current carts until new carts are in.
Also, please be respectful of other residents trying to call Groot with refuse questions. Please refrain from calling multiple time in one day. The carts will come once you are on the list.
