[ARCHIVED] Traffic Signal Improvements

The Illinois Department of Transportation’s contractor, Meade Electric has indicated there are some minor things to complete at the Howard/Harlem/Milwaukee triangle (small area of sidewalk and landscaping) including at Amici Restaurant. These changes are estimated to take place within a week or as soon as the concrete contractor is able.
The next set of intersections to be upgraded is under construction now. The sidewalks and curbs will be removed soon, and will be replaced a week or two later. They hope to have the underground portion done in the next few weeks and begin erecting the new poles by the end of May. Oakton at Caldwell, Oakton at Harlem and Milwaukee at Main should all be completed around the same time.
Mead ran into a couple of issues at Oakton and Waukegan that will involve installing a new conduit and hand hole crossing Waukegan on the north side of Oakton, however, they should be completely done with everything and restored by the end of June.
