The Village of Niles has declared a Heat Alert from Wednesday, July 17th through Friday, July 19th. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 90s with afternoon heat index values ranging from 100 to 106 degrees. The Fitness Center and Senior Center will be open as a cooling center if relief is needed. The Fitness Center is open 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, and 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. The Senior Center is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you require a cooling center after hours, please call 847-588-6500. In an emergency call 911.
