Tuesday, March 10, 2009, is the last day to register to vote for the April 7, 2009, Consolidated Election. To register you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day, and a resident of your preceinct at least 30 days prior to an election. Eligible voters can register in person at Niles Village Hall and must bring a photo ID and proof of residency, or download a form online.

When to re-register
Your registration is permanent unless you move or change your name. If you have moved within suburban Cook County, you must transfer your registration by re-registering. Voters who legally change their name, but not their address, do not have to re-register. If you have changed your name, you can vote after updating your information at the polls.
