[ARCHIVED] Cook County Promise Guaranteed Income Pilot Program

Cook County is accepting applications for its Promise Guaranteed Income Pilot program now through October 21. Through a countywide lottery, 3,250 eligible residents will be selected to participate. Those selected will receive $500 per month for two years, with no strings attached.

Cook County touts its Promise Guaranteed Income Pilot—the largest in the country—as a transformative initiative. Providing a guaranteed income has proven to be a success in cities across the country. It reduces stress, helps people find new jobs and gives some much-needed relief in paying monthly bills.

Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older, Cook County residents, have a household income ≤250% of the Federal Poverty Level, and must not be a participant in another guaranteed income pilot. For more information and to learn if you are eligible, visit www.engagecookcounty.com/promise.
