Niles Teen Center to Host Grand Re-Opening Celebration
Saturday, November 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the newly expanded Teen Center facility. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, VIP presentations, activities, games, and a center tour. This is an opportunity for the community to meet the staff and see the new facility that includes an expanded computer lab/ study room, TV lounge, library area, and game room. Snacks will be provided by Kappy’s Restaurant.
Major donations that allowed for this expansion came from Home Depot, the Niles Public Library and Walmart. We have increased the facility by 1,000 sq. ft. to a total of 2,513 sq. ft. Major equipment donations/ acquisitions include 25 computers, 25 desk chairs, study tables, four 40-inch TVs, a 55-inch TV, lockers, a bicycle rack, and a bumper pool table.
Trustee Kim Biederman stated that this event “is a great opportunity to thank the whole Niles community for their support of the Niles Teen Center, to showcase the newly expanded facility and to recognize the great programs the Village of Niles provides for the youth of the community.”
