Village Manager to Retire January 31, 2021

Village of Niles Village Manager Steven Vinezeano is set to retire from city management after 27 years in the profession. His last day with the Village of Niles will be January 31, 2021. Vinezeano’s retirement was previously set for April 2021, but he has since been offered a position with the Federal Emergency Management Agency with a duty appointment date of Monday, February 1, 2021.
Vinezeano has been working closely with the Deputy Village Manager and Assistant to the Village Manager to ensure a successful continuation of Village operations following his departure. At the January 26, 2021 Village Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees is expected to vote on whether to appoint Deputy Village Manager Hadley Skeffington-Vos as Acting Village Manager. Further details are yet to be announced. “At the end of the day, it is the many Niles residents, elected officials, and employees that I have worked closely with over the past 20-years that I will miss the most,” said Vinezeano.
