The Cook County Department of Public Health has announced further details about COVID-19 vaccination, including an online portal and telephone hotline. The Cook County Health website to sign up for COVID-19 updates and information about scheduling an appointment is vaccine.cookcountyil.gov. The telephone hotline is (833) 308-1988. The call center is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M.
The State is now in vaccination Phase 1b, which includes all individuals age 65 and older, as well as several specific groups of essential workers. Please be aware that demand for the vaccine currently greatly outweighs the available supply, and it will take weeks to schedule everyone eligible for phase 1b.
PLEASE NOTE: The COVID-19 vaccination effort is led by the Cook County Department of Public Health. The Village of Niles government and the Niles Senior Center CANNOT administer COVID-19 vaccines, nor register individuals, nor make vaccination appointments.
Vaccinations require an appointment. When you register with the County, appointments might not currently be available, but the system will notify you once more appointments are available. If you are not yet eligible in phase 1b, you can still register in the system to receive information updates. Again, the phone number is (833) 308-1988. The website is vaccine.cookcountyil.gov. The Village has also gathered online links to information resources, which can be found at vniles.com/covid19.
The Village is making an automated phone call to the public with this information. To hear this message, call (847) 588-8080.
