NILES, JUNE 26 2020 - Village Hall was closed to the public on Friday, June 26. As a precaution, the building is being sanitized following a COVID-19 exposure. For information on the COVID-19 pandemic including resources for those who wish to be tested for COVID-19, visit www.vniles.com/COVID-19 . The Village of Niles made an automated call to the public announcing the closure and the COVID-19 case. The recorded message can be heard by dialing (847) 588-8080. Village of Niles staff continues to closely monitor the situation surrounding the novel COVID-19 Coronavirus and evaluate the best course of action for protecting the community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this most recent interruption in Village Hall hours, the Village is announcing that the vehicle window sticker deadline has been pushed back by one month. Residents and businesses now have until July 31 to purchase their sticker. Enforcement of displaying vehicle stickers will begin August 1.Village staff is still available by calling 847-588-8000, and vehicle stickers can be purchased online at www.vniles.com/onlinebillpay.

The Village would like to assure the public that the risk of any visitor to the lobby of Village Hall having contracted the disease is low. The infected individual was an employee who does not interact regularly with residents and did not come into contact with many employees.

Village Hall will be reopen for normal business hours (open until 5:00 P.M.) on Monday, June 29, following a reduced-schedule soft-opening period.
