Howard Street Rehabilitation Project

The Howard Street Rehabilitation Project, from Milwaukee to Lehigh, is scheduled to begin the week of May 4, 2020.  The proposed improvements include new underground storm sewer, improved pedestrian and bicycle facilities, improvements to the traffic signals, decorative elements such as special pavement markings and signs specifically for bicyclists, landscaped medians, a Gateway Monument sign and new LED street lighting.  In addition, the roadway will receive a new driving surface.  Expect lane closures as the work progresses from Lehigh to the west.  Please use caution as you use the roadway, and be considerate to the workers as Howard Street is improved.
