[ARCHIVED] Respond to the 2020 Census

It’s almost time to respond to the 2020 Census! The Census is a constitutionally required count of the population that takes place every ten years. Census data affects districts for elected representatives, funding for schools and government services, and even data that businesses use to make decisions about new developments. Individuals’ information is secure and is never shared with other government agencies.

The self-response period begins on March 12th. Most residents will receive an invitation in the mail to take the Census online at that time. You will receive reminders over the following weeks. If you do not respond online, you will receive a paper Census questionnaire in the mail, then an in-person Census-taker.

The Census is important. Please respond, and support your community. For more information on the impact, security, and ways to respond to the Census, visit the Census website at 2020census.gov.
