School Visits- Member Recruitment

This week, Mark will be finished up his visits to the area schools to inform students of the great programs and activities offered through the Niles Teen Center.  If you enjoy the Teen Center, please tell your friends to sign up too.  If you see Mark or other Teen Center staff, please make sure to say hello.

Tues 5/21 1:00-2:30 pm- Nelson School

Wed. 5/22 1:00-2:30 pm- Stevenson School

Teen Center OPEN at 1:00 pm during High School Finals

The Teen Center will be open at 1:00 pm on Wed. 5/22, Thurs. 5/23 and Fri. 5/24 during high school finals.

Come in to study or to relax with friends.

Cooking with Maddie- Tues. May - 4:00-5:30pm

Make your own Milkshakes

Join Maddie in making a sweet treat using crushed oreo cookies, vanilla ice cream, milk and strawberry/chocolate sauces.

Game Tournament- Wed. May 22- Fortnite- 4:30-6:00 pm
Most Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m., the Teen Center staff will set up tournaments for video games and table games like Foosball, Air Hockey, Darts, NBA2K16 or Call of Duty 3. Prizes may be awarded to winners.

Speaker Series- Thursday, May 23- 5:00-6:00 pm- Drum Circle

Join John Yost of Rhythm Revolution in an interactive music making session.  Learn a little about drums and percussion instruments and have fun learning to Jam with your friends.  No experience necessary.

Candy Bingo- Friday, May 24- 4:30-5:30
Join Crissy and Maddie in playing games of BINGO using candy as your markers.  Yes, you can eat the candy when the game is over.

3^rd Annual “Late Night Party”- registration is now open

Come to the Teen Center for our 3rd Annual “TC Late Night Party” for a night of fun!  Activities will include pizza and soda, a movie, organized games and tournament, DIY crafts and lots of hang-out time.  This event will be supervised by staff and volunteers from the Niles Teen Center.

“TC Late Night Party” is open to Teen Center members only.  You must be a TC member by Thursday, June 6.  You must turn in a Teen Trip form and money at the time of sign-up to guarantee your spot.   Space is limited to 50 teens; sign up now!!!

Cost: $5

Date: Saturday, June 8

Time: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Doors open at 6:00 pm-no entry after 6:30 pm

All teens are expected to be signed in and signed out by the adult that is providing transportation. You may not walk home after the event.  You must be picked up by an adult.

Registration Deadline:  Thursday, June 6

Teen Movie “Night OUT”- Friday, May 31- 7:00-9:30 pm- $9 each

Exclusive offer for Teen Center members! Are you looking for something fun to do on Friday nights? We’ve got the answer for you: Teen Movie Theater Nights. Enjoy a movie at AMC Theater - Golf Mill for $9 (price subject to change). Please bring extra money for snacks during the movie. Pre-registration is not required.

Movie Choice will be determined by Wed. 5/29

Friday, June 7- Bring a Friend Friday
On a selected Friday each month, if a current member brings a friend as a guest, both teens will receive a free soda and bag of chips.  If the guest, purchases a membership, the current member and new member will receive a $5 gift certificate for a local store (like Subway or Gloria Jeans Coffee) or $10 to Kappy’s Restaurant
