[ARCHIVED] Electrical Aggregation Program

On Saturday June 23rd a letter was sent to all Niles ComEd customers detailing the municipal aggregation program.  The letter was intended to go only to Niles participants already in the municipal aggregation program to let them know the program was continuing and they would not need to take action unless they wanted to opt out.  The Village apologizes on behalf of our electrical supply provider, Eligo Energy, for the mailing that went out to all Niles ComEd users. This error was the result of a glitch in Eligo’s computer system.  That mailing was not supposed to go out to all residents. Rather, only residents on the Village’s current electrical aggregation program were to receive a letter.

If you do not currently participate in the aggregation program and received communication from Eligo Energy regarding the opt-out electrical aggregation program, please disregard it.  Eligo Energy mailed out a retraction postcard on Monday, June 25th to help clarify their error.

Please note that residents do NOT need to take any action. No one will be switched over to Eligo that already opted out of the program or is with another supplier. Again, no action is needed by the residents and they will not be automatically switched over.

If residents have further questions, they may contact Eligo Energy at 312-260-0885 or the Village at 847-588-8010. This information is also provided on our website https://www.vniles.com/917/Municipal-Electric-Aggregation or http://www.eligoenergy.com/cities/il/NilesVillage.
