Niles residents paid less for government services in 2010 than all of our neighboring communities according to an annual survey conducted by the City of Park Ridge. The survey showed the average Niles family paid $818.25 in property, utility, vehicle, and related taxes to the village.
“An efficient government structure, a solid commercial property tax base, and a strong sales tax base are the major reasons Niles residents pay less,” according to Mayor Robert M. Callero.
“We are very proud of the fact that Niles residents pay less for the high level of quality services provided to our residents. The village has historically provided a high level of services at the lowest possible cost and every employee is committed to maintaining that objective.”
