[ARCHIVED] Leaf Pickup Reminders

As scheduled, the Village's free in-street leaf pickup program has ended for the year.  Four weeks of pickup were provided on each half of town, east and west of Milwaukee Avenue.

To help accommodate late-falling leaves, the Village and Groot are sponsoring a free collection of bagged yard waste on December 7th or 8th, whichever is your regular scheduled garbage pickup day.  Yard waste (including leaves, grass clippings, etc.) must be placed in a yard waste bag or a trash can specifically marked for yard waste.  The usual yard waste sticker will NOT have to be purchased and applied to the bag or trash can for this special collection.

If needed, free bagged yard waste collection will be offered the following week as well.

At this time, do not rake leaves into the street.  The Public Services team must now begin converting their equipment for snow and ice removal operations, and cannot perform any additional in-street leaf pickup.  You can receive a citation for raking leaves into the street, now that the regular leaf pickup program has ended for the year.
