STEAMProject- Continues through Friday March 17- each day 4:00- 6:00: Engineering: 4Wheeled Balloon Cars
On most Tuesdays, staff willoffer projects related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art andMath). These could include science experiments, art drawings, orconstruction of a marble run.
4 Wheeled Balloon Cars- Using avariety of craft supplies, you and a partner will construct a car over theperiod of 2 weeks. Supplies will include straws, cardboard tubes, milkcartons, tape, sponges and water bottles. We will have a race of our carson Friday, March 17 at 5:00 pm in the mall hallway. Whose car will go thefarthest? Then, maybe we will have a demolition derby to see whose car isthe toughest.
Saban’sPower Ranger’s- Friday, March 17- 4:00-6:00 pm
We will be supporting therelease of this new movie by distributing marketing merchandise. Items could include t-shirts, key chains, hats, etc. We will have an airhockey tournament with the winners getting a collection of the bestswag (starts at 4:00 pm). Also, the winners of a balloon car raceswill get a collection of all of the items (starts at 5:00 pm).
Come out to the teen center forsome Power Rangers swag and then check out the movie in the theaters-releasing on Friday, March 24
Movie synopsis-Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become somethingextraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove- and theworld- is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen bydestiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save theplanet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issuesand before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.
BoysGroup- Continues Thursday, March 16 from 4:00- 5:00 pm
Have you had a rough week atschool? Are you juggling too many responsibilities and feeling stressed? Havinga conflict with a friend? Or maybe you just want to share ideas with otherteens? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please join us forgroup! Girls group is Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00, and boys group isThursdays from 4:00-5:00.
These groups are designed tomeet the social and emotional needs of teens. They focus on improvingself-esteem/self-image, communication skills, conflict resolution, reducingstressors and addressing other challenges teens face. The groups arefacilitated by Nicole Espinoza and Darren Brown of Niles Family Services.

GameTournament- Air Hockey- Friday, March 17 - 4:00-6:00 pm
Most Fridays at 4:00 p.m., theTeen Center staff will set up tournaments for video games and table games like Foosball,Air Hockey, Darts, NBA2K16 or Call of Duty 3. Prizes may be awarded to winners.
SpringBreak- Adjusted Hours- 2:00- 6:00 pm- 3/21 through 3/24
Spring Break for Maine EastHigh School and East Maine SD 63 is Monday March 20- Friday, March 24
The Teen Center will be OpenTuesday through Friday from 2:00- 6:00 pm
Please make sure that you arepicked up no later than 6:00 pm during this week
GirlsGroup- Continues Wednesday, March 29 from 4:00- 5:00 pm
SpeakerSeries- Thursday, March 30- 4:00- 5:00 pm- Magician
Gary Kantor, Magician, willoffer a demonstration of some magic tricks and slight of hand. If you’relucky, he may even teach you how to do some tricks yourself!!
