Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for the Chicago Metro Area starting at 5 a.m. Thursday, January 12 through Friday, January 13.
Estimates are between three to six inches of snow with winds gusting to 35 mph. The wind chill could be near zero or lower. Please exercise caution as this is the first major snowfall for the season. Please plan properly for traffic delays; drivers should give extra time for travel. The snowfall is expected to be at its peak during the evening rush hour on January 13.
