[ARCHIVED] Tax Volunteers Needed

AARP Tax-Aide is administered by the AARP Foundation in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service. It is the nation’s largest free volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service offered to taxpayers with middle and low income, with a focus on individuals over the age of 50.

Good with the fine print? Be a volunteer tax preparer.
You’ll work with taxpayers directly; filling out tax forms and helping them seek a refund. Free training is provided in January, experience isn’t necessary.

Love working with people? Be a client facilitator.
You’ll schedule appointments, welcome taxpayers, help organize their paperwork and manage the overflow of service.

Have a knack for running things? Be a leadership or administrative volunteer.
Track volunteer assignments and site activities.

To volunteer, please go to www.vniles.com to fill out a Senior Center Volunteer Application or call the Niles Senior Center at 847-588-8420.
