The Niles Historical Society maintains physical archives of local history materials (Please call ahead for use):

The Niles Bugle

  The Niles Life

  The Niles News

The Niles Review

  The Niles Spectator

We also have Microfilm Research at the Niles Historical and Cultural Center.

Researchers and genealogists can call, email, or visit the Center during open hours or by special appointment.
The Historical Society staff and volunteers will try to help conduct research for individuals unable to visit the library.

We are glad to do a preliminary or basic search for free. You will need to fill out a Research Request Form found online, or visit the Center for a copy.

Get and see Research form here: Record of Research Form
After you fill it out, send it to: The Society has a research email address also, but it's not monitored at the moment.

There is a charge for more in-depth research performed by our staff. Please contact us for more information.

Again, we suggest that you call us at (847) 390-0160 before coming in to conduct research or email us at
