Trip Cancellation Policy

- Fees for day trips are non-refundable within 10 working days of the trip if a replacement cannot be found. Please call and speak with a staff person and let them know you cannot attend the trip. We will do our best to find a replacement for you on the trip. If we are successful, you will be given a credit on your account or issued a refund check.

“A Chorus Line” Musical at Maine South High School
Transportation is on your own and an independent trip.  You will be meeting at Giordano's 9415 W. Higgins Rd, Rosemont, at 2:00pm.  The main course will be selected at the restaurant which includes 1) individual stuffed deep dish cheese, pepperoni or sausage pizza 2) Italian beef sandwich 3) toasted Italiano sandwich 4) mana’s meatball sub 5) chicken parmesan sandwich 6) spaghetti and one side selection Caesar or house salad, soup or garlic parmesan fries.  Beverages include a soft drink, coffee, tea or iced tea and cannoli desserts.  Then you will head over to Maine South High School 1111 S Dee Rd, Park Ridge, at 3:30pm for a 4:00pm performance.  A Chorus Line is a musical with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and a book by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante.  A Chorus Line provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers.

We will arrive at the Japanese Gardens around 10:00 am and enjoy a private two-hour guided tour that will inspire the mind and energize the soul.  The beautiful outdoor setting provides inspiration that fosters a connection with nature, focuses curiosity, and enhances interpersonal relationships.  The trip is heavy walking, and the tour offers a flat path or full tour which involves stairs.  There are benches throughout the garden to sit and relax.  Fresco at the Gardens will be providing a buffet lunch which will include Fresca salad, Cuban panini or avocado turkey wrap, fresh fruit display, lemon bars, and beverage.

Fitzgerald's Fish Boil & Lake Geneva Boat Tour 
(Anticipate minimal walking)  Location - Wisconsin
Fitzgerald’s is known for their all-you-can-eat North Atlantic cod boiled in traditional outdoor kettles year-round for that one of a kind mouth watering taste that has made them legendary. It starts with boiling fresh potatoes and whole onions outdoors over a wood fire.  Then they add in fresh cod to each batch. As they stir the boiling kettles, they keep adding wood to the fire and simultaneously grill their locally famous BBQ chicken. Lunch will include North Atlantic cod and honey BBQ chicken, coleslaw, fresh rye bread, sweet red potatoes and onions, and for dessert, a frosted apple square will round out the meal.  After lunch, we will relax and enjoy all the scenic beauty of Lake Geneva with a fully narrated tour as you cruise around lovely Geneva Lake in approximately two hours.  A snack bar and cash bar provide refreshments while you are on board.

Theater on the Lake

Located at Fullerton Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, Theater on the Lake is a historic building that offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.  Performances are scheduled during the last two weeks in June in the evening, but the dates and times are still in the planning phase.  More information provided during April.  Please contact Chrisann Fahy (847) 588-8436 or if you’re interested in attending this event and we will notify you of more details closer to the performance.

Chicago Dogs Minor Baseball Team in Rosemont Community Event
(Anticipate heavy walking)  Location - Rosemont
Rosemont world-class stadium will be the home of the newest expansion team of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which is the largest and most successful independent minor league baseball league in the United States.  We have tickets seated in the infield box, nice and close to the action!  Tickets include soft drinks and a variety of food items that will be catered by the venue.  The Niles Senior Center is offering two different transportation options on your own or a bus service, pricing below.
