The purpose of the Fire Department Foreign Fire Insurance Board is to manage and authorize the disbursement of the foreign fire insurance tax revenue that is paid by out-of-state insurance companies selling fire insurance in Illinois for the maintenance, use, and benefit of the Fire Department.
MEMBERS – The members of the Board shall consist of seven trustees; the Fire Chief, and six members who shall be elected at large by the sworn members of the Department.
