Research & Development

The Research and Development Office is responsible for the formalization of policy and procedure or solutions to problems in operational areas. It provides recommendations on technology which will improve present systems, cut costs in the long run, and keep operations up-to-date. The Research and Development mission is to identify the questions and/or problems that arise within the department. The researcher collects and compiles data of a law enforcement nature. After the data is collected, it must be analyzed and examined in order to address the subject matter. Sharing the findings and putting together the information in a readable form is the last step in this timely process. Grant acquisitions, management, and daily accountability are part of the assigned duties.
