“It’s a Wonderful Life: The Making of a Holiday Classic” with Leslie Goddard

Have fun exploring the movie’s creation including how the script evolved, how the cast was chosen and the technical challenges that were overcome. Hanukkah Luncheon

Enjoy some great music, great food and have a wonderful time at this year’s Hanukkah Party.  Lunch will include  pastrami on rye, sides and dessert. You will be entertained with Hanukkah music as the world famous Maxwell St. Klezmer Quartet shares classical and contemporary holiday songs.  After the performance stay for the dreidel tournament to keep the fun going and maybe you will be the big winner!

 

Ugly Sweater & White Elephant Game Holiday Party

Please come dressed in your ugliest holiday attire! The card game will be played with white elephant gifts. Please wrap three things arouugly sweaternd your house that you no longer want or need (the funnier, the better!). The game will start with presents in the middle of the circle and two decks of cards. The caller hands out 2-3 cards to each person and uses the other deck to call-out cards.  When your card is called, you will pick a present from the center. Once all the presents are gone from the middle,  the fun begins and you will have to take gifts from your friends! You may end up with something unique or nothing at all. Come join in some silly fun and many laughs. Sweet treats will be provided.

 

Pickleball Holiday Party

Everyone loves to be surprised with presents this time of the year! Gifts need to be NEW and wrapped purchases, valued at $15. The hot gift will be passed around like a hot potato and whoever ends up holding the gift when the timer dings keeps the gift and is out of the game until everyone ends up with a gift. We will then test your holiday spirit with some holiday mystery games! Lunch will include a meatball sandwich, side and dessert.

“Bing Crosby: The King of Crooners” with John Boda

 Bing was the first superstar crooner of the 20th century and a big influence on all the others to follow including Frank Sinatra! Even though Sinatra would surpass him later, Bing Crosby would remain as the ultimate crooner of that era and has left a huge legacy of songs and films that are still popular today. His life and music will be covered on screen and select songs will be performed by Bing such as “Pennies from Heaven”, “Don’t Fence Me In”, “Blue Hawaii”, “When the Blue of the Night Meets the Gold of the Day” and more.  Lunch includes a gyros sandwich, fries and dessert.

Let’s celebrate with friends and raise our champagne glasses to a happy and healthy New Year!  Please select a main entrée 1) chicken Vesuvio boneless breast sautéed in garlic white wine sauce with sweet peas 2) salmon Florentine sautéed in a lemon white sauce with spinach & tomatoes.
