The Niles Fire Department has established a Facebook Page used for communication, education, and community interaction between the NFD and the public. The purpose of the Facebook Page is to present matters relating to all aspects of the Niles Fire Department. Once posted, the NFD reserves the right to delete any submissions and comments. Please note that the comments expressed on this site do not reflect the opinions and position of the Niles Fire Department, the Village of Niles, nor its trustees and employees. 

This page is not monitored 24 hours per day, please call 9-1-1 with any emergency. 

As a communication tool, the NFD may use its Facebook Page to raise awareness among the Village of Niles residents, guests, community partners, neighboring communities, and interested fans of the Niles Fire Department. The NFD may post pictures, videos, public safety information, etc. as well as information regarding current and/or ongoing incidents. The NFD will make every effort to eliminate all identifying factors from the list above. 

The following content shall be prohibited from the NFD Facebook Page at all times. Therefore, information, posts, or comments containing any of the following forms of content shall not be allowed and will be removed from the Page. The NFD reserves the right to remove any language prohibited by this policy. 

  • Profane language or content
  • Inappropriate sexual content or links to inappropriate sexual content
  • Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination based on race, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status under respective applicable law
  • Private and/or confidential information
