ComEd has suspended service disconnections for nonpayment until at least May 1 to assist customers during the coronavirus pandemic. Following is an excerpt from ComEd's press release. " We care about our employees, contractors, and customers and our efforts will ensure that we are prepared to manage potential impacts from the spread of COVID-19 as we monitor the developments closely. We're here to help our customers through financial hardship. We're suspending disconnects for customers unable to pay their bills and waiving new late payments charges through at least May 1st. We'll be working with customers on a case-by-case basis to establish payment arrangements and identify energy assistance options to address their specific needs." During this time, please minimize any contact with utility workers who might come to your home or the home of a neighbor to service natural gas equipment, including meters. Rather than confront the utility worker with your questions or concerns, it would be safer to call Nicor Gas at 888-Nicor4U (888–642–6748) or email our Customer Care Center at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Niles-Maine District Library
The Niles-Maine District Library is closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All programs are cancelled and passport services will not be available. The book return is closed. Please keep library materials including hotspots and other technology items until the Library reopens. Fines will be waived for materials due during this period of time.
