By law, most public employees are allowed to organize into groups or unions and bargain collectively for wages, benefits and working conditions. Currently, there are five unions that represent Village employees. This page includes links to collective bargaining agreements that have been negotiated between the unions and the Village, as well as the Village's Employee Handbook, and Safety Manual. While all employees are covered by the policies in the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual, employee benefits are addressed in the employee's applicable collective bargaining agreement, or, in the case of non-represented employees, the Employee Handbook.
