If an injury occurs during the course of employment:

  1. Assess the situation to determine level of care.
  2.  In case of an emergency, the injured person should never attempt to transport themselves, or have their friends or non-medical co-workers transport them to an emergency care medical facility. Call 911 for conditions requiring Emergency Care.
  3. Give appropriate first aid.
  4. For non-emergency care, direct the employee to employees’ choice of Village of Niles approved medical providers.
  5. Contact Human Resources  for assistance with forms and information regarding the injury.
