Hispanic Heritage Month Community Art Project- El Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Masks/Coco
Celebrated throughout Mexico and Latin America, El Dia de Los Muertos celebrates the life of loved ones who are gone but not forgotten. To share in this special celebration, we will be decorating masks in the tradition of the popular sugar skulls. School is out so this will be a great time to get the entire family together to let your creativity shine through! Afterwards, guests are invited to stick around and have a snack of nachos and watch the Pixar film, Coco, on which the celebration of El Dia de Los Muertos is based. Art project will begin at 11am; movie at 1pm. Please allow for 45 minutes of art time for younger participants and/or basic designs and 1.5 hours for older participants and/or intricate designs. Please register by October 3.
