The Manager's Office works in cooperation with other departments to provide municipal services to residents and business owners.  It is staffed by the Village Manager, Assistant Village Manager, Village Attorney, Village Clerk, Human Resource Coordinator, Deputy Clerk, Legal Secretary, Health Officer and Assistant Liquor Commissioner.

The department encourages citizen participation and provides up-to-date information through press releases, cable television programming, the quarterly Village newsletter, and special mailings to residents and businesses.  The department also educates and assists new and current businesses to take advantage of economic development programs and services. We will continue interaction with the business community so as to maintain a high level of communication and positive business relationship.

The Personnel Division conducts applicant screening and preliminary interviews, as well as handles all other personnel related matters. The Village Clerk's Office performs duties as required by statute such as managing all official documentation and providing voter registration. Also, the Clerk and Deputy frequently provide notary service at no cost to residents and businesses.

The Manager's Office represents the Village in working with Federal, State, regional and local agencies and community groups, as well as private enterprises and not-for-profit organizations.  The Manager's Office has two primary goals. The first goal is to provide high quality customer service to Niles residents and businesses. The second goal is to maximize the efficiency of service delivery for all Village services through the use of technologies and cost efficiency.

Overall, the Village Manager's Office directs, advises, strategically plans and implements improvements in operation and service. Working together with the Village Board, other Village departments, Federal, State, regional and local agencies, and community groups, the Village strives to provide the best service to the people of Niles.
