The Niles Police Department, located at 7000 Touhy Avenue, provides 24-hour a day service and protection to Village residents by 55 sworn Officers, 36 Auxiliary Officers, 20 Community Service Officers, 5 Special Service Officers, 11 Civilians and 17 School Crossing Guards. The Department provides for the enforcement of federal, state and local laws, the deterrence of crime, the apprehension of offenders, the recovery and return of property, and non-criminal service.
911 SERVICE: The Village of Niles offers Enhanced 911 service, a 24 hour emergency telephone number that puts you in touch with police, fire or emergency medical service immediately. 911 is for emergency situations only. For non-emergency situations please call: Police, 588-6500; Fire, 588-6800.
