The History of the Tam O'Shanter Country Club

The Museum is happy to again present Mr. Tom Ferraro, Historian, for the July presentation at the Museum. He will be speaking about the amazing history and stories of the Tam O’Shanter Country Club. Mark your calendar for Sunday, July 22, at 2:00 p.m.

The Tam O'Shanter Country Club was in Niles Illinois near Chicago. Many famous PGA tournaments were played there. It held the first golf tournament to be televised nationally. At the time, Tam (as it was called) was host to many famous celebrities like Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Jack Benny, Ben Hogan, and Lou Worsham, among others.
