SCHOOL ROOM

Historical Society - School RoomProceeding through this area, there is a school room housing desks, a pot belly stove, wall clock, and photographs from the local schools. The walls are adorned with the rules for the students and teachers of that period.

Next to the schoolroom is a laundry area with a 1915 Easy Electric washing machine and a variety of scrub boards, home made soap, a 1917 kerosene lamp, two burner stove, and carpet beaters.

CARRIAGE ROOM

Historical Society - CarriageEntering through the carriage room doors you will be astonished to see a horse drawn Bakery Wagon, an 1886 Covered Wagon, and a 1913 Model T Ford 656 next to an early 1900's Tonsorial Barber Shop. There is a miniature model farm scene, showing the typical farm house with a barn and chicken coop.

The back wall of the carriage room has an outstanding array of early farm implements such as corn/planter, rakes, saws, horse drawn plow, and many other items. On display is a wooden pump that was hollowed out of log, a large creamer separator circa 1908, and a showcase with an assortment of carpenter's wooden hand planes dating back to 1886.
